Harki sighed in satisfaction and held her wine glass up to clink against Rorela's. "Mission successful. Cerillith tells me that Paetri just got laid."

Rorela grinned widely and with satisfaction, clinked her glass. "Oh...set yourself up a spy did you? Good plan. So, is Camilth giving a play by play? And if so, please tell me the lad is talented."

"Cerillith says that Camilth is too distracted. It's nice to know that this whole dragonlust thing can go two ways, though," Harki said.

"Distracted is good." Rorela grinned. "If she's distracted and not anxious, then the boy must be doing a fine job." She took a sip of wine. "We should do this more often....for the good of the Weyr, of course."

"Wasn't it not that long ago that you were laughing at me for buying a book for Paetri?" Harki batted her eyelashes at Rorela over the rim of her glass.

Rorela snorted and waved her hand negligently. "Oh, who cares about that? It's fun! I mean...doing the girl thing. Opening her up a little." She beamed. "It felt good, really. Don't you think so?"

The other greenrider smiled. "Well... yeah. It's different. It's not like I had sisters or anything. Did you?"

"I'm sure I did." Rorela shrugged. "My parents were riders, but they weren't weyrmates and they weren't really involved with me much. I had a great foster mother, so I didn't mind so much."

"Lucky. I went through about five or six foster mothers before I finally Impressed." Harki pursed her lips, thinking back to the women who had tried-- and mostly failed-- to put up with her. "It was probably a good thing I Impressed. My last foster mum got me to apprentice to the Bakercraft. If I'd gone down that road, everyone at Dragonsfall would be dead of bread poisoning by now."

"They just didn't know how to handle the inherent awesomeness, apparently." Rorela declared. "Now. We need a new project."

Harki thought for a moment, then turned to examine Rorela with a wicked glint in her eye. "How about getting G'nir to hope in the sack with you?"

"I'm going to ply him with wine and give him the book." She replied promptly. "Then amaze him so much with my prowess that he'll come wanting more."

The other greenrider nodded and held her glass up in salute. "Good plan. Now you just need to actually _do_ it. And by do it, I mean sex."

"And what about you?" She smiled over the rim of her glass." I have every confidence that once I get G'nir loosened up, he'll be open to my skills. But, we need to get you a man, my dear. Or at least a regular bedmate. I dare say you might be getting cranky."

"Ugh. Maybe." Harki tipped back her glass, then reached to refill it. "I told you P'nal made me a belt, right? Well, I invited him to the bathing pools with me and laid out some pretty obvious hints, and pfft. He didn't make a move. The belt thing's just confusing-- I'm so not his preferred partner-between-the-furs."

"P'nal is a stick in the mud." She grumped. "Always has been. Wouldn't know a good roll in the furs if it bit him in the ass." She sighed and stroked her chin. "I don't know about the belt either. You two...he's just too...serious for you. You need someone fun loving, but unfortunately for you, I'm not a male."

Harki stuck her lower lip out in a pout. "More's the pity, hot stuff. But seriously-- it's not like I'm looking for anything long term. And P'nal's got a smoking body, and after Cerillith's last flight I can tell you straight up that the bits you don't see are impressive."

"I'll pass. I see him every day and I'm not impressed. He's too dry for me to even consider him. He can have all the hot bits he wants, but we are so not compatible." She pursed her lips in thought. "Who else has caught your fancy?"

"No one." The greenrider sighed. "That's the worst thing about coming back to Dragonsfall-- there's nobody new. I'm _bored_."

"So here's what we do. We find you an older candidate. You train him to service you in all ways. He will be grateful and you'll have a project and all that young stamina to keep you busy."

Harki smiled and shook her head. "Great idea, but not my style. I've just got an itch. It won't be hard to find someone to scratch it for me."

Rolling her eyes, Rorela shook her head. "Live a little!"

"It's not my fault that there's nobody who can match my... what was it you said?" Harki tipped her head to one side. "My inherent awesomeness?"

"That's why you train them, silly! If you catch them young and innocent enough, then you can train them to do just what you like. Hence, they will match your awesomeness."

"And that sounds like _work_. Didn't you hear? My inherent awesomeness is matched only by my lack of patience. And laziness." Harki sipped at her wine. "I like 'em broken in."

"That's it. You are our next project." Rorela pointed her finger firmly at Harki. "We are going to get you a man....or at least a temporary play partner."

This time it was Harki who rolled her eyes. "Thanks mom, but I can find my own playmates. And I'm sure that there are _far_ more interesting projects out there."

"Oh, no. You're not getting out of this." Rorela's grin was wide. "You might just be more interesting to set up than Paetri. Besides....if you could find one, you wouldn't be bored, now would ya? Suck it up, doll...you're next."

"Dream on." But Harki was a little nervous as she downed her wine. She didn't like the wicked glint in Rorela's eyes-- she looked like she was planning something. And Harki didn't like it, not one bit.
