"All right." Harki slid onto the bench beside Rorela. "You've worn me down. Start
this 'Operation Harki' nonsense you've been talking about."

Rorela's grin immediately appeared with a flash of teeth. "Got frustrated did you?"
She tsked.

"Just bored. And lazy." And maybe also frustrated. And still feeling somewhat irked
that P'nal had rejected her offer, even though that had been a sevenday ago. She
shrugged. "So here I am, throwing myself upon your tender mercies. Be nice to me."

Making a point to rub her hands together, Rorela leaned forward and gestured to a
man across the dining hall. "I've already talked to him."

Harki stuck her tongue out at Rorela. "Cheeky."

"And sneaky." Rorela grinned. "I'd save the tongue. You might need it later." Her
smirk widened and without prompting, grabbed Harki's hand to pull her up. "Come on.
You have to actually talk to him a little."

"Really? My plan was to club him over the head with a chair and drag him back to my
weyr for later," she said. "But fine. I'll be a good little greenrider this once."
She fluffed her hair and struck a pose. "Wish me luck?"

"He might like that, but he's got a hard head." Rorela eyed her and nodded. "He
already thinks you're very beddable. You don't need luck. You just need to drag him
to a weyr."

"Fine. I can do that." Harki blew Rorela a kiss, and crossed the room to where
Ma'din sat. She slid onto the bench next to him, stretching her legs out in front of
herself as she looked him up and down. He was lean, and she liked the easy way he
sat-- like he owned the chair, and the table, and possibly the rest of the Weyr too.
She smiled. "So. Rorela tells me that you're good enough to spend some time with."

Ma'din's attention turned to her and his lips curled up as a brow arched. His gaze
slowly slid over her, blue eyes intense. "You're Harki, then. The one our girl says
is a little firestarter in the furs." He turned a little, his sprawl appearing more
like the coiled intensity of a predator ready to pounce. "I've never had a
complaint." He leaned forward, elbow on his knee. "Try me out and see."

"Mmm." Harki waggled a finger to get him to slow down, even if the way he looked at
her made her a little weak in the knees. "Not so fast, lover boy. There's two ground
rules we have to agree on first."

A wide feral grin flashed over his face and he leaned a little closer, beckoning her
closer with a finger. "Not so good with rules, pet. But I'll listen to your
suggestions."

"Your choice. They shouldn't be too difficult for a man like you." The greenrider
winked, but refused to be drawn in. "But just to be clear... rule one is that if
you're going to dish it out, don't be shy about taking it back. I'm not a
lay-back-and-moan kind of girl."

"Oh..." Ma'din gave a throaty chuckle. "Please, do dish it out. I like kittens that
play with claws."

**Kitten? Really?** Harki raised an eyebrow at that. "Rule two -- don't get attached."

At that, Ma'din arched both brows. "Attached? Do I look like the attachment type to
you?" He leaned just a little closer. "I just want to bed you, maybe more than
once." His brows gave a brief waggle. "If you can keep up."

Harki tilted her head back and laughed. Ma'din, she decided, was arrogant-- but in
an enormously fun way. "Did you seriously just say that to me!? Oh, _kitten_. You
and I are going to have such a good time together."

"Then prove it." Ma'din's smirk answered her laugh, but there was challenge in his
eyes. He rose and tilted his head, tongue curling behind his teeth as he looked down
at her.

She shrugged and stood as well. Ma'din was taller than she was, too. She liked that.
And there was something about him that reminded her of diving off cliffs when the
sea was rough, or free-falling through high winds. She liked that too. "You first."

There was barely a quirk of a brow before, in front of the entire Dining Hall, he
stepped forward, grabbed her hips and lifted her to him. There was a smirk on his
mouth right before he caught her mouth with his, suckling on her lower lip before
slowly sliding away, the flesh caught between his teeth.

"Mmm." Harki narrowed her eyes, her lips tingling. He'd do. Rorela was a good
friend. She slid her hands up over his chest to drape her forearms lazily over his
shoulders.. "I think I'd like to see your weyr."

He bent to whisper in her ear. "I think I'd like to see you up against the wall with
your legs around me." He nuzzled the soft skin of her neck, then lightly nipped it.
"But my weyr will do." He pulled away, wrapped his arm around her waist and lead her
out of the dining cavern.

Harki let herself be dragged, but she did twist around to give Rorela a wide grin
and a thumbs up on the way out.

Rorela waggled her brows and returned the thumbs up.
