Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 10, day 5 of Turn 3

Herimos smiled as he said his goodbyes to one of his old friends at in the infurmary. The boy had been sent to the weyr for a bit. He couldn't help but come say hi to him. He was wlaking toward the door when he bumped into someone. "I'm sorry. Pardon me."

"Careful, candidate," M'galec muttered. He recognized the boy from a leture he'd given there. His look turned curious. "You are not a healer, are you? What are you doing here?"

"Visiting a friend. I was working on being a healer till a while ago.
I'm currently working on being a dragonhealer, sir." he carefully ran his hand through his hair.

"I see," M'galec nodded. "Not a bad choice if you should Impress."

"I wasn't expecting to be searched. i had already asked to be transfered here. I thought it would be better to learn here. I'm a hands on learner. Being searched made it easier to be sent here. I've lived my whole life in the hall. This has already been quite the experience." He smiled. "My name is Herimos by the way." He offered his hand.

"The dragons inspired you to make the change, eh?" M'galec asked as he flipped through the file in his hands. "To dragon healing, I mean."

"Amongst other things." He tried to keep his expression from betraying his feelings. "Oh? Like what?" the bronzerider asked as he continued to flip through the file.

"I ummm... had a harsh moment that made me wish to find a slightly different craft. I had to leave. I figured this was a better place to go." He was starting to get slightly adgitated. He didn't like the possible direction this conversation may go.

"And how are you settling in?" the journeyman asked, finally flipping the file closed.

"Pretty well I think. I spend part of the day with the current dragonhealer and do what chores I'm set. Sometimes it is made difficult by my canine but I'm working on it."

"You don't leave your canine with the beastcrafters while you are on duty?"

"I do. It's just hard to. He doesn't like to be far from me and he seems to enjoy getting away from them to come find me." He sighed as he looked around to be sure the canine hadn't escaped again.

"Hmmm, well, that is a bit of a problem then," M'galec said with a slight frown. The last thing they needed was a canine running around during post-threadfall triage. "We haven't been here long and he is still getting used to it here. I'm sure he will settle down before too long. It's just all so new to him.
I'm sure once he has time to realy make friends he will stay put." He was afraid this man would try to have him get rid of his canine. He realy didn't want to. Lord Puddles had been there for the hardest time in his life. It would be to hard on him.

"I truly hope so," the bronzerider nodded. If a canine was let loose in the infirmary, M'galec knew he was the _least_ of the boys problems.

"Yes sir. I had best be off. I have duties to tend to." He quickly headed for the door, not waiting for the man to say anything. The whole conversation had bothered him. He needed to get his composer back.
