}:You're small:{ Neath crouched down to poke the tiny green in the nose.
**Neath, be nice**
G'wen didn't wait to hear any more of the conversation. There was more
important things to do...like pounce on his fellow greenrider and
weyrbrat.
"Hey T'lat, how's your training going?" His childhood friend was only
slightly taller and bigger build than him, which wasn't saying a lot.
Most of the other riders--women included--were bigger than G'wen.
}:But I'm getting bigger. Julerith told me so. And I'm fast:{ she
added feeling that fact alone made her special. }:But you have to
watch out for walls.:{ She darted around Neath in a quick circle.
"Pretty good actually," T'lat smiled at G'wen. "Faucheth! Get back here."
Neath picked up her legs one at a time and watched the tiny green
circle around her. }:Why? What's wrong with walls?:{
"Faucheth have a phobia about walls?" G'wen raised an eyebrow to
T'lat. He studied the green. "I sort of forgot that Neath was ever
that small."
"No, he chuckled. "The dragonettes were playing tag indoors and she
ran into a wall trying to get away. Lissath scolded her of course."
"Oh, of course." G'wen snorted. "How is it with a little queen around?
Neath would've been over the moon had a gold been born in her
Hatching."
"She's bossy but then she's supposed to be right?" T'lat shrugged.
"Neath is so beautiful, and she's so big for a green. I don't think
Faucheth will ever get that big."
"Oh, you never know. She has a gorgeous shade of green though." G'wen
reached down to give the weyrling's head knobs a rub. Neath preened at
the compliment.
Faucheth leaned into the expert rubbing with a sensual delight that
made T'lat smile. "Well she certainly likes that," he grinned. "Only a
little ways to go and we'll be flying together."
"Don't wish the days away." G'wen gave an unconscious half glance over
his shoulder, to the thread wound currently covered up completely by
his shirt and tunic.
T'lat smiled. "The weyrling staff are always saying that, yet they
push us to the next thing all the time. But Faucheth? She just seems
to know what she's doing."
