Characters: Rorela, Harki, Paetri
Description: Three greenriders share a pool when the heat goes out... just to stay warm, of course.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 9, day 13 of Turn 7
Notes: Mentioned: Saibra, J'kri, F'neb, M'shan, Ma'din, R'axe

"Thank _Faranth_ for private bathing pools." Harki hooked her elbows
over the edge of Rorela's pool and leaned her head back against the
warm rock. The Weyr might be cold, but at least the water was still
warm and Rorela was willing to share. The main bathing pools were
packed with riders and Lower Caverns staff looking to drive the chill
from their bones, and while Rorela's pool was elbow-to-elbow with
three greenriders crammed into it, it was still a flaming sight better
than cramming in with thirty or forty strangers.

Rorela groaned as the heat soaked into her bones. "I know. I don't
care if I shrivel, I don't ever want to come out of here." She leaned
her head back against the side of the bathing pool and lowered her
shoulders into the pool with relish.

"Thank you for inviting me." Paetri added, her chin barely above the
water. "I'd much rather be here than in the Lower Caverns, believe
me."

"You should tell Saibra that they need a renovation project so that we
can all have our own bathing pools," Harki told Rorela. "Just in case
this happens again."

"I'll mention it. But I think if they were going to do that, they'd
have done it already." She stretched her foot out, but it ended up in
Paetri's lap. "Besides, some people might like all the naked bodies in
the lower caverns pool."

Paetri eyed the foot, but didn't move it. "I think J'kri's down there,
actually." She closed her eyes. "It's not my cup of klah. I'm more
private than he is." There was a pause. "That's my belly button."

Rorela grinned. "I know."

Harki laughed. "Oh, just smack her. Defend your privacy!"

Rorela eyed her and then promptly reached under the water to poke at
Harki's stomach. "She wouldn't hurt me, would ya?"

Paetri giggled a bit and shook her head, moving Rorela's foot away
from her abdomen. "You two don't know how to behave do you?"

"Behaving's boring." She made a swipe at Rorela's hand, but missed.
"Speaking of behaving, how's J'kri doing?'

"He's doing better, but we're both still healing." She shifted in the
water. "We've um...since he likes men too, uhm...we've talked about
finding a third person for him. Well...for both of us. Maybe a blue
rider that likes women just as much as men." She glanced at the two of
them, then blinked as Rorela started laughing. "What?"

"We've been a wonderful influence on you, that's what!" Rorela elbowed
Harki. "See? We do good things."

"Ow! My boob!" Harki gripped her battered breast and sent a mock-glare
Rorela's way before turning to Paetri. "Good for you. Three is fun,
but you're right that you'll want another blue boy. Anyone particular
in mind?" she asked slyly.

"Oh please, I barely got you." Rorela rolled her eyes, but carefully
guarded her own against a counter attack. "Yeah. Any ideas? There's
quite a few yummy blue riders that you can choose from."

Paetri flushed. "Not really. I mean...I tried J'axe, but he turned me
down flat."

"Really? His loss." Harki stuck her lower lip out in a pout,
remembering her rejection from not that long ago. As much as it stung,
not every offer was met with a yes. Which was as it should be. "What
about F'neb? Do you know him? He's pretty young."

Paetri shook her head. "No. I kinda haven't met a lot of men. Just
J'kri and M'shan. He won my first flight."

"I heard that R'axe actually prefers men anyway." Rorela shrugged and
tapped her finger against her lip. "I don't really know F'neb well
either." She slowly turned to Harki and her smile widened. "I smell
project."

"Really? Because I smell a party." Harki grinned back. "A _sausage_ party."

"And those are _fun_." Rorela's grin was wicked. "The more the merrier."

Paetri flushed brightly and stared at the two women. "But...More than
two?" Her eyes widened. "How do you take turns with _that_?"

Harki snorted. "Dexterity, patience, and a lot of laughing. But I was
more suggesting an actual party, with talking and some booze. As much
as _that_ sort of party is fun, I don't feel up to it right now."

Rorela examined her nails. "We could invite Ma'din. Would you want to go then?"

Paetri looked between the two women. "Ma'din...that scary blonde man?"
Her eyes widened. "Uhm...can we pass on that? I'm sure J'kri would
love a party, and I'm all for it, except for the drinking, but
uhm...that brown rider is a bit..uh...intense."

"Intense, sure. But scary?" Harki wrinkled her nose. "Maybe just scary pale."

"He can be scary to someone who isn't bedding him, you know." Rorela
pointed out.

Paetri looked back and forth between the two women. "You...you two are
sharing him?" She coughed and then leaned forward. "Together?"

"Oh, don't be so dramatic," Harki told the younger greenrider. "Rorela
and Ma'din have a history, and he and I share a bed sometimes."

Rorela snickered. "Don't worry about that, Paetri. We have to think of
finding you an extra man to play with."

Paetri flushed. "It's more for J'kri than me..."

Rorela snorted. "Uh huh...riiiiight." She glanced at Harki. "Admit it,
you're curious."

"She's totally curious." Harki nodded. "And lucky you, you have a
bluerider to start with. And then you'll have two, and then maybe
three... four... the sky's the limit!"

"Uh... I think one more would be enough..." Paetri fell silent, her
brow knitting as she mulled over what the laughing women were saying.
Three? What could three do...Oh...ideas began to filtered through her
head.

Rorela abruptly began laughing at the look on Paetri's face. "It's
sinking in now." She nudged Harki and grinned. "Party. We need one.
You hosted last time. I'll host this time. You have to help get the
men."

"Uuuuugh. Fine." The other greenrider rolled her eyes, but she was
fighting back a smile of her own. Paetri's face now-- what would she
look like when she opened that door? "Men. Whatever."
