Although this restriction has now been loosened, in-character assumptions about sexuality and dragon colour still exist socially in the Weyrs and Holds on Pern. Anything that differs from the "strict canon" will be unusual - and has potential for interesting storylines as our characters challenge these assumptions and stereotypes!
