Physical Description of Persona:
Corland is fairly nondescript. He has tan skin, light brown eyes, dark brown hair. He is neither tall nor short, unremarkably plain, not especially handsome nor ugly. He is exceptionally well-built from his time in the forge, with large rough calloused hands.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Corland is usually quiet and steady and typically minds his own business-- except when he smells a bully, and out comes his temper. He does not stand for bullying and will jump to the defense of anyone he perceives as a victim. While he is proud of standing up for those in need, he is also deeply ashamed when he lets anger get the better of him and will avoid drinking alcohol.

History of Persona:
Corland was born at Ridgeline Peak Hold to a drunkard and a woman who had practically been sold to him. He witnessed him abusing his mother when she dared to so much as put a single toe out of line as well as his older brother, whom his father suspected of liking men. When he and his brother tried to stand up for their mother, things got even worse for them. She took the opportunity to send them to apprentice with the smiths. Years later, their father's failing liver set their mother free, and she joined her sons with the smiths. Shortly thereafter, a dragon Searched Corland, and though he was reluctant to leave her, his mother encouraged him to accept.

Dragon's Name: Berlinarth
Dragon's Age: 1
Dragon's Hatching Date: m13 d12
Dragon's Colour: Brown
Description of Dragon:
Even as a hatchling, Berlinarth is a well-built dragon. He’s large for his color but eventually well-proportioned, with a sturdy frame and some hatchling thickness that will tone into an impressive musculature by the time he’s physically mature. He’s solid and strong without so much bulk that it greatly hampers his maneuverability; he’ll never be a speeding arrow, of course, or a match for the smaller colors, but he does alright for himself. His real strength will always be in his strength and endurance, as well as a lung capacity that gives him a powerful, sustained flame. He has a thick, square jaw and bulky chest that’s often thrust out, as he tends to sit up straight and loom. His hide is a dark brown with orange-ish undertones, like rock lit-through with magma just beneath the surface, with some even darker shading between his headknobs and down his spine.

And he’s a dragon who knows what he’s about. He’s smart and intensely strong-willed, rarely backing down from a problem or a challenge, and harbors absolutely no doubts about whether he’s right in any given situation. He knows best, and there’s no convincing him otherwise. As a young dragon, he’s very physical, and will tend to impose his will via nudging and pushing and shoving, but with the right guidance and a proper outlet for his youthful energy, he will learn to curb these habits and stick to less direct methods. He believes himself a leader and will not hesitate to establish himself in that role, or match anyone who dares to challenge his authority -- bronzes included. Someday, he’ll make a good leader, too -- he’ll be firm but level-headed, unflappable in the face of danger and protective of his wingmates -- but in his youth he’s mostly just a smart bully who, nonetheless, instinctively picked a rider who won’t tolerate such nonsense and can hopefully shape him into the dragon that he has the potential to become.
