Physical Description of Persona:
Teigan has run-of-the-mill brown hair that is kept just long enough to comb back and feather away from his face. His eyes are a warm klah brown, with crinkles at each side from smiles and laughter. A couple days' worth of scruff tends to hang out on his square jaw and strong chin. His body is built in such a way that most people assume he’s a dragonrider - with his broad shoulders and muscular strength. However, he’s a gentle giant, standing at 6’1”, and uses his large hands to heal rather than sling firestone. His smile and the warmth in his eyes give people the general impression that he is handsome.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Teigan has a calm, reasonable approach to everything. His inability to panic is what makes him such a good healer. However, he tends to compartmentalize _too_ well at times, which can make him seem distant or unemotional. Nothing could be further from the truth. Teigan has a healer’s heart and will exhaust his own mental and physical stores to help others. He has an excellent sense of humor and bedside manner. There are some parts of his personality, however, that only his weyrmate gets to see - his silly side, the side of him that worries, and his passionate, sensual side.

History of Persona:
Teigan was born at Dragonsfall to a pair of dragonriders. The luxury of living in an Interval meant that Teigan and his siblings were able to spend more time with their parents than they would in a Pass. Teigan’s eldest brother, K’lvin, impressed to a bronze when Teigan was only three Turns old. Even with such an age gap, their parents made sure to keep the family connected, celebrating birthdays and other occasions together.

By the time Teigan was twelve Turns old, several of his other siblings had also Impressed or began a craft at the Weyr. Teigan apprenticed to the healers and when he was sixteen he transferred to the Healer Hall at Jade Harbor Hold. While he had enjoyed his life at Dragonsfall, he wanted to fully emerse himself into his craft in a way he felt he couldn’t at the Weyr. He enjoyed the change of pace and the culture shift.

For the next couple of decades, Teigan remained at the Healer Hall at Jade Harbor and rose to the rank of Master. There he married Emrin when he was twenty and became a father at twenty-two. He probably would have lived the rest of his life at Jade Harbor but a soured relationship (his wife found in the bed of the Hallmaster’s Second), forced him to look elsewhere. His wife, Emrina, had grown frustrated when they couldn’t bare another child after Turns of trying. To this day, Teigan isn’t sure how that drove her into the bed of another man, especially after sixteen Turns of marriage.

With his son already fourteen and apprenticed in the healercraft as well, Teigan thought he would like to once again get a taste of Weyrlife and transferred to Windswept Islands Weyr where he met Thiseta.

It took a couple of Turns of dancing around one another before Teigan was ready to commit himself to someone again. Life without Thiseta was unimaginenable and so in Turn 10, he found himself weyrmated, rather than married, to the goldrider he’d met while working in the infirmary.

While life at Windswept had certainly had its highs (meeting Thiseta), it also had its lows, which involved Thiseta’s illnesses. Thus, when she was ready to move to Barrier Lake, Teigan supported her decision and followed her there.
