Physical Description of Persona:
Riali is just under 5 feet tall and has long, wavy black hair she usually keeps in a bun. She has brown eyes, round cheeks, and full lips, and inherited her mother’s stocky frame. She isn’t a great beauty but has been called cute on occasion, which she hates.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Riali has a reserved personality. She feels most comfortable when in a group of people, where she can listen and take everything in but not be expected to speak much. Rather than speaking, she prefers quietly helping friends and family. She knows others’ routines and will make sure a mug of hot klah is ready at the right time, or a bed is made. She also enjoys caring for young children and has considered asking to be assigned to the creche rather than the laundry.

When younger, she enjoyed making jewelry with simple glass beads her father sometimes brought home, but then was told she was too old for such a task. Instead, she was pushed towards sewing. While she doesn't much like patching up old clothes, she has become decent at it, and has even started learning some simple embroidery from a friend.

History of Persona:
Riali grew up in Sunstone Seahold and, as soon as she was old enough, began working in the laundry alongside her mother and older sisters. She didn’t mind the repetitive work and enjoyed the camaraderie with the other women there.

One evening, some visiting harpers played in the dining hall and Riali had a wonderful time flirting and dancing with a young man on the Steward’s staff. When he took her to a more private location, she went willingly, thinking they would just kiss. However, he wanted more, and she ended up losing her virginity in a storeroom.

Ashamed by what had happened, she told no one. However, several sevendays later, after days of nausea, she was horrified to realize she was likely pregnant. When she went to the father to let him know, he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her and would deny having slept with her if she told anyone.

The sevendays passed and, while she didn’t look pregnant yet, she knew it was only a matter time before her condition would be obvious. She had almost come to the decision to tell her parents when she was Searched. Riali immediately accepted.
