Physical Description of Persona:
5'9", with a large frame, J'an weighs close on 180 lbs. He has dark hair, now shot through with grey. He has brown eyes, lightly tanned skin and a ready smile, but is missing one of his front teeth.

His left arm bears a long scar from a knife fight before becoming a candidate. The wound didn't heal neatly, and the flesh is a little puckered around it.

Emotional Description of Persona:
J'an is friendly and open. He tries hard to keep an open mind about goings on around him, he has a tendency to see things in a rather black and white way, and come across almost as judgemental, which has occasionally got him into trouble in the past.

He's rather touchy about the scar on his arm and refuses to talk about it unless he has to.

History of Persona:
Jaran was born at Far Island weyr. His father was a Journeyman starsmith there, his mother a cook who had been together when they're respective weyrmates had ended up together after a flight.

Not to say that he didn't have a reasonably happy childhood growing up as a weyrbrat. His foster parent's spoiled him rotten, and both his parent's did acknowledge him, which led to him joining his father's craft at the age of 12.

At 17 he got news of a rare clutch on the sands at Far Island. He hurried home, not quite knowing what to expect as he stood on the sands and bronze Alylth found him.

The pair got through weyrling training and were assigned to a wing. Shortly after Alylth participated in a green flight, but somehow managed to collide with one of the other dragons and although he recovered from it, it was noticed that he had dome some damage to his wing.

Only when thread returned was it discovered that Alylth couldn't fly thread with a full fighting wing as he lacked the manouverability of the other bronze dragons. It was a little hard for J'an to take at first. He tried fitting in with the queens wing, but then as more clutches were on the sands he slotted into teaching nicely.

Lately, J'an has begun to show signs of arthritis and it was felt that a warmer climate would help. So a transfer was organised to RBW.

Description of Dragon:
Alylth is small for a bronze,just over 30 feet in length, and is often dark enough to be mistaken for a brown which is something he hates. Personality wise he's fairly outgoing and chatty for a dragon. He enjoys sunning himself and being bathed, usually trying to involve as many people as possible in the process.
