Physical Description of Persona:
Solinde's hair is short, coming to the nape of her neck and a dull brown hair that just sort of lies there. Smallish eyes and a rather prominent nose with freckles darting over it and her cheeks are not improved by a thin lipped mouth and her curves, while not nonexistent, are nothing spectacular. She is rather tall and really gangly more than anything.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Solinde is somewhat of a loner. Her self consciousness and self doubt have caused her to be withdrawn from others. She has friendly acquaintances from her classes but only a couple of really close friends. Teasing by boys has not helped to cultivate her sense of self worth. Her temper is slow and while she is not raving genious and she is also not stupid, she can be rather gullible and easily impressed by her peers.

History of Persona:
Solinde's father is a fisherman at Jade Harbour Hold, her mother mainly cared for children around the hold, fostering quite a few. The youngest of four biological children, she was also the closest to her father. He would often take her out on short trips and she would run around the ship, doing the small things that she could to help.

Solinde enjoyed her excursions with her father, especially when the dolphins came and would swim and play alongside the ship. It was often hard to get her to concentrate on what she was doing if the dolphins decided to visit. From the time she was very young, she expressed an interest in apprenticing as a dolphineer, but her parents were very strict and stated that a woman's place was not in a craft. After expressing her desire, her father forbid her to come along on any more excursions with him.

When she was ten, her eldest two brothers were searched and sent to River Bluff Weyr. Her eldest brother, Vesonet, impressed a brown, but her brother below him impressed a green. Solinde's family refused to associate with him and any contact Solinde had with him had to be kept secret.

When she was old enough to apprentice, Solinde spoke up again about apprenticing but her parents immediately shot the idea down. She missed going out and seeing the dolphins and desperately wanted to apprentice. Any mention of doing so was met with harsh resistance and often escalated in loud arguments. When she wrote of her plight to her brothers, L'son offered to take her to the hall so she could request to apprentice and was actually accepted. Because of her defiance, her parents also cut off all ties with Solinde, leaving her on her own at the hall.

At the hall, Solinde isn't one of the more popular students. While she's not overly shy, she does have a tendency to be quiet and withdrawn, causing people to overlook her. She has been overlooked when it comes to romantic relationships and while she does love her friends, she has in the last couple of turns felt a desire for a different type of relationship.

When she was sixteen, Solinde began to attract the attention of a Journeyman by the name of Chairon. The girl was rather confused by the sudden attention, but eventually came to accept and even desire it. Chairon catered to the lonliness of the girl, merely wanting her for his own purposes. Once he got what he wanted from her, however, the man turned away and began to ignore her like before. The girl was sad and dejected, she couldn't understand what she had done to make him push her away after he had gone after her attention.

It wasn't long after that Solinde realised she had missed her flow and went down to the dolphins one night after curfew to find out if she was indeed pregnant. Rystili discovered and a dolphin revealed that she was, as she had feared, pregnant. Because of Chairon's actions and his taking advantage of her, Solinde was allowed to stay at the hall and continue her studies.
