Physical Description of Persona:
D'trian is a lanky young man with jet hair and deep brown eyes that sparkle with emotions. Handsome as a bronzerider (or so he thinks), he has the very broad shoulders and narrow waist of a dragonrider, though he has a bit more mass to him thanks to his father being a Mastersmith. He keeps his hair short and is in remarkable physical shape, even for a dragonrider.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Quick to anger and quicker to laugh, he still has brooding silences that only a tumble with a greenrider can cure him of. He loves being a dragonrider, and he loves the high that comes from he and Mistaith flying Thread successfully. On the arrogant side, especially for a bluerider, he nonetheless is well-liked and much sought after by both men and women in the Weyr. Charming to a fault, his arrogance does not lead to meanness or unkindness, though he flits from bedpartner to bedpartner as often as his dragon. A flirt and an enigma all at once, he is still looking for the self under the outside.

History of Persona:
Born Dotrian to Otriana and Daynar, the Smithhall Master, he had a fairly normal childhood. His father took him in hand at 12, but Dotrian was the youngest boy of four, and had been more with his mother than the others. By the time Daynar got him under his 'wing', he already had odd attitudes about women and continually clashed with his father, even as he Apprenticed to the Smithcraft hoping to please Daynar at last.

Searched from nearby River Bluff Weyr, Daynar only let Dotrian go on the understanding that he was to Impress a bronze, and a bronze only, for his father distrusted the Weyrs to the extreme and did not want any of his children there. But at the tender age of 14, the softhearted Dotrian went off to the Weyr, already suspecting he was going to disappoint his father yet again.

Dotrian settled into Weyr life like he'd been born to it, and when on his third Hatching, Impressed blue Mistaith, his suspicions were confirmed.

Now D'trian, it came to no surprise to the youngster that his Father simply turned his back on him as if he'd never been born, and refused to awknowledge him, claiming he was no son of his, but the son of a Harper instead.

So be it. He was happy with Mistaith and at River Bluff, and now three turns into a fighting wing, is looking for himself between bedpartners and rising to fight Thread.

Description of Dragon:
Mistaith is a large, handsome blue of a deep midnight color so dark it is almost purple. His wings are patterned with a lighter blue that looks like raindrops. He is very inquisitive of his rider's interests, and is also an unaccountable flirt, loving to chase Greens. He is very serious about flying Thread, but he and D'trian have been scored more than once.

Spark, Feline: aged 11, born m9 d27
A lovely tortiseshell calico feline, the little bundle of love adores her 'pet' and her 'pet's' bigger blue pet, often curling up with Mistaith and D'trian to sleep. She wants nothing to do with any other people, however, and yowls continually for her breakfast every morning, annoying her pet to no end, though D'trian does not remember what it was like not to have her.
