Physical Description of Persona:
No taller than average, Kailatan has dark hair worn
slightly longer than most, so it is usually tied back in some way. Being
born on the coast near River Bluff has mean he grew up under the sun and
that means he has a light tan most of the turn. He has a network of scars
from chiselling that cover his arms, although none are fresh as he soon
learnt to take the appropriate precautions. He has blue eyes which can be
hidden when his hair is worn loose.

He's developed quite a lot of muscle, the Mason craft is quite physical and
requires a certain level of fitness to progress.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Methodical and practical are words that describe him.
It fits with the craft he apprenticed to once he was of age. Being a mason
demands attention to detail, and this carries over into his personal life.
If he plans to do something, it will be noted down to the last detail, which
can really annoy some people, but he's grown to know that his work depends
on it, and the safety of those with him.

History of Persona:
Born to Kaila and Tandek 23 turns ago, Kailatan was their first child. He has two younger sisters, and a late addition to the family is his
brother aged two turns. Like most children in a small holding, there were Harper Classes and chores. Once he was of age to apprentice, Tandek
encouraged him to pick something that would interest him, not something that would be a flash in the pan. And Tandek was more than pleased when his son opted to follow him into his craft.

The Masons were attached to the Mining Hall at Garnet Valley, and after a bit of a shaky start he soon settled into the craft and classes. At the age of 17 he became aware of Ivane , the daughter of one of the Masters that was teaching his craft. He sought permission from her father to speak to her, and from that first moment it was clear that the pair were going to be together. Once he'd walked the tables, Master Ivalek saw a good prospect in Kailatan and allowed the pair to marry. their son, Kailvan was born not long after and is now a sturdy toddler.

Now they face a new challenge, Kailatan has been advised to seek a post at River Bluff Weyr following the discovery by Ivalek that he was allowing Ivane to accompany him on his craft work and teaching her a little after she showed more of an interest than was deemed acceptable for a respectable married woman.
