I'serin

I'serin had just shrugged into his shirt for the day when a booming roar stopped him in his tracks. Dawn had not yet arrived -- what could possibly be so urgent already?

}: Galgaith, :{ Aluneth supplied, his faceted eyes fixated on the young gold with a rising heat that I'serin knew all too well. Another roar, another challenge issued, as the Weyr roused itself from slumber. There was not much time to act.

"You will not!" I'serin said sharply to Aluneth, striding forward and applying his will upon the dragon. "She is your daughter. You will not participate. We are _leaving_. Where is Saibra?"

Aluneth rustled his wings rebelliously but answered, }: Away. To the beach with friends. :{ I'serin did not ask which friends or why it was not with R'enh. It was not his concern. Chioneth's safety was.

"To the cliffs," I'serin ordered, not bothering to strap up Aluneth. The dragon made a hissing sound, unhappy at the order, but he complied, plowing into the sky and disappearing. **Send word to K'mai that he is welcome to join us if he wants,** I'serin said as they circled the high cliffs a few moments later. Hopefully, K'mai would be able to bring refreshments since I'serin had barely been able to grab his boots.

K'mai woke to the distant roar of dragons and a low simmer of lust. **What's going on?**

}:Galgaith Rises.:{ Sebeth watched the commotion in the feeding pens with mild interest.

K'mai was faced with the dilemma of not wanting to get out of bed but also wanting to enjoy the effects of the gold flight.

}:Aluneth says you can join his rider at the cliffs.:{

K'mai scrambled out of bed.

A short while later, Sebeth appeared over the cliffs and bugled a greeting to his favorite bronze. When they landed, K'mai slipped off the blue's neck. "How grumpy is he?" He nodded toward Aluneth with a small, amused smile.

"Terribly," I'serin answered with a look at the glowering bronze. "But he will be fine by tomorrow. I do not suppose you brought breakfast? I barely had time to dress before we left."

"Um, I just sort of grabbed . . . what I had." K'mai unfastened the carrisak. "Wine, cookies, crackers . . . Sorry, it's not much of a breakfast. I got overexcited to join you."

}:It is okay, Aluneth.:{ Sebeth nudged the bronze with his muzzle. }:We could go play in the water. Or we can hunt.:{

}: Hunt, :{ Aluneth immediately hissed, ready to unleash his frustration upon something. He unfurled his wings and took off, uncaring if Sebeth followed or not.

I'serin let out a long exhalation. He would have to pamper Aluneth somehow later. He gave his thick hair a quick tug as he exhaled again and then turned back to K'mai. "Whatever you were able to get, I will take. And if nothing else, once he is calmer, we can go somewhere with more amenities," he said. But he also moved to give K'mai a grateful kiss. "I am glad that you are here," he murmured.

"Glad you invited me." He bent to slide his lips along I'serin's neck for a moment before leaning back. The echo of Galgaith's Flight still heated his blood. "Breakfast first?"

Sebeth leapt up to follow the bronze, eyes whirling a happy blue. }:I like hunting with you. You are so fierce.:{

}: Enough platitudes, :{ Aluneth replied curtly.

I'serin shivered slightly. He had been so focused on getting Aluneth out of the Weyr that he had suppressed any other emotion. Now, away and alone, half a dozen things that they could do unfolded within his mind. "Second," he said decisively. They could sate one hunger first, then another. He pulled K'mai against him for a more thorough kiss.

The bluerider responded enthusiastically, one hand sliding into I'serin's hair. "I love when you're impatient to get your hands on me." I'serin's response was to roughly peel K'mai's jacket off, then cup the bluerider's face for another hungry kiss.

I'serin knew that there was no hurry -- a gold's flight could last triple that of a green's -- but he felt as though he was starving. His hands could not stop roaming K'mai, tugging at clothing that was in the way, letting out little frustrated growls when he had to focus on things like buttons. "Why are you not undressed yet?" he snarled softly at one point between kisses.

"I could say the same." K'mai chuckled as he pulled off the Weyrleader's jacket and then reached for his shirt. The echo of the gold flight met with his desire for I'serin and passion flared inside him. Shards and shells, what would it have been like if he'd actually gotten I'serin in a room after they'd both lost that flight? "Take me," he panted against the bronzerider's lips. "Fly me."

It would be a pale comparison to a true flight but the moment I'serin heard those words, he did not care. He let out a soft growl as he managed the ties on K'mai's pants, the sound turning into a soft moan as his hands slid to cup K'mai's ass.

K'mai gasped against his mouth, his hands dropping to unfasten I'serin's pants. "Brought a blanket. Oil in my inside jacket pocket." He always kept a small bottle there now, where it would be warm against his body to protect it from /between/, just in case I'serin called him for a rendezvous like this. But at the rate I'serin was going, they might not get to that.

"Lay down," I'serin softly commanded between kisses. Their clothes would be their blankets, hastily shucked off and arranged. He disrobed himself while he waited for K'mai to comply.

K'mai got down on the pile of clothes and fished around frantically for the bottle of oil. Fingers seizing on it, he rolled to his back and was met with the sight of I'serin looming over him, naked and staring at K'mai like a bronze about to catch a gold. "Oh shards." K'mai desperately wanted to be caught, to be taken.

~*~ fade to black ~*~

"Mm...lay...down," he murmured lazily. Cuddling sounded _wonderful_ after that.

K'mai happily obeyed and reached for him as soon as he was on his side. "Shards and shells, that was incredible."

The bronzerider hummed in sleepy agreement. His arm wrapped around K'mai's middle as he rested his head on the bluerider's shoulder. He was content to drift here, letting breeze and sunshine play over their skin, while the world passed them by.

Warmth filled K'mai as he felt I'serin relax against him. The Weyrleader was so often tense and worried, to have him sated and calm in K'mai's arms was such a treat. Sleep pulled at him too, but he stayed awake a little longer to enjoy holding I'serin close and listening to the soft sound of him breathing.

"Let us...stay here," I'serin murmured after a long, contented moment. The Weyr could wait at least half a day. They would be celebrating Galgaith's flight and neither leader would be needed to quickly return.

"As long as you like." K'mai shifted to kiss his temple and then smiled against it. "Maybe I can fly you later."

I'serin hummed. "So long as you do not say that you will breed me," he said. Lightening his words, he kissed the underside of K'mai's jaw. "That was enjoyable."

K'mai laughed. "Sorry, was that too much? Sometimes I really want to get bred."

"It was...confusing. In the moment," I'serin answered. He settled closer against K'mai's side. "But I did not mind the action of it."

"Confusing? Wait . . . did you . . ." K'mai giggled. "Oh Faranth, did you try to take it literally?"

I'serin raised up enough to shoot K'mai a look. "K'mai, have you _met_ me?"

K'mai laughed harder. "You are _so_ adorable." He kissed I'serin's forehead. "Obviously you can't literally impregnate me." The bluerider looked thoughtful for a moment and then shook his head. "It's about the _feeling_. Screwing like animals, having you mount me and take me rough and come inside me. Shards, the way you took control drove me wild."

The bronzerider felt a bit self-conscious, hearing that last bit, but had to admit that it had felt...freeing. To be more himself. "You...like me in charge?" he half-asked, half-stated.

"_Shards_ yes," K'mai said with feeling. "I could get hard again just thinking about it."

There was a lot to unpack in those two statements. I'serin knew he would dwell on it later but for now, he leaned to kiss the underside of K'mai's jaw. "For you, I will endeavor."

K'mai chuckled. "You make it sound like a chore. I like being in charge, too, sometimes. Usually I like when no one is in control and we just give each other pleasure."

I'serin hummed thoughtfully as he settled back against K'mai's shoulder. "I...enjoy it all. Truly. With you."

That brought a wide, pleased smile to K'mai's face, his chest filled with warm affection. "I love everything with you. My sunlight. My I'serin."

"My K'mai," the bronzerider answered in a contented voice.
