Seori encountered Trellyn as she was exiting her classroom. "Trellyn," she called from down the hall.
"Just the woman I was looking for."
"Well, it's always good to be in demand." Trellyn said with a smile, "And how are you today?"
"Doing well," she replied, clapping a hand on the younger woman's shoulder. "And you?"
"Oh, you know me. Glad to be out of the classroom and heading towards the water." Trellyn joked, pointed in the general direction of the ocean. "I'll walk with you." Seori turned to walk next to Trellyn, and they set off again. "I have some news I thought you'd be interested in."
"You'd better not be honoring me with another class to teach," she groaned, "I can only rein in my distaste for the young for so many hours of the day!"
"I'd never be so heartless. Although..." Seori raised her eyebrows jokingly and paused. "Actually, it's about that salvage operation you were working on recently up at ....."
"Ah, yes, that northern ship." Trellyn said with a smile, excited that her newest prize was being discussed. "I can't believe how long it took us to get everything pulled up out of the bottom of that sunk ship! Has everything been inventoried yet?"
"On the nose, journeywoman," Seori replied happily.
Trellyn was looking quite happy now and she'd been looking forward to giving her the news for just this reason.
"I was right, wasn't I?" she said excitedly, "It was a smugglers ship wasn't it?"
"That is how it appears. We've had everything moved into storage space here, and I've had some people working on the inventory. It hasn't been finished yet, but I thought you'd be happy to hear the update. If you're looking for specifics, I believe I put Parke in charge of the inventory. He can tell you more."
"Great, I'll do that." Remembering the papers she had pulled from the ship she added, "Were any of the logs or maps able to be deciphered, or were they too waterlogged to be read?"
"I believe most were beyond recovery, but I know there were a few sheets with some legible information. We should be able to get most of the items recovered back to where they belong."
Trellyn was disappointed, but she was glad that something had come out of it. She nodded as they reached the door, "I'm off for a swim with Kibb care to join us?"
"Thank you. I would love to," she replied, wistfully, "but, unfortunately, I have a few more things to take care of before I can call myself free. But you have fun."
"All right, I'll see you at evening meal!" she gave a backwards wave as she started down the steps to the beach where she could already see a few of the dolphins swimming waiting for their afternoon's amusement.
