Non Player Characters

  • NPCs are usually one story characters.
  • NPCs should not be seen as a way to write unapproved personas. They are extras, not personas in their own right. They should not be used when there are PC personas available to post with.
  • NPCs can be written by ANY member of the club.
  • A persona sheet is not required for an NPC.
  • An NPC can only be written 3 times each quarter (between crayon awards). Exceptions exists for long posts that are broken up into multiple parts but are part of the same 'event.'
  • Ranking NPCs should be approved by the area's L1 prior to use.

Adoptable NPCs

The Level One for an area can submit ANPC sheets for hard-to-fill positions (such as Headwoman) so that other members at the area can have something to refer to in their posts, but all references to such a persona should be kept in character with the sheet's personality and history.

Members can submit ANPC sheets for non-ranking personas whenever they like. Once the ANPC sheet is approved by the PA Team, the sheet becomes the property of the club, and later of its adopted owner. Any abandoned personas will be slated as ANPCs.

  • ANPCs may not hold rank unless approved or submitted by the Local Level One.
  • A persona sheet is REQUIRED for all ANPCs.
  • Adoptable NPCs, can be written only by L1 or designee unless adopted

Owned NPCs

Owned NPCs are the family members of a PC persona. This includes: parents (including foster/step parents), siblings (including foster/step siblings), children (biological, step, or fosterlings), and a current weyrmate or spouse.

  • Any ONPCs used by a member must be listed on their PC's sheet.
  • They cannot be written by any other member without the owner's permission.
  • A persona sheet is required if the persona posts more than a few times with a persona other than the PC family member.
  • Family members of a PC, usually recurring NPCs
