Physical Description of Persona:
Standing 5'3"-5'4" and weighing in around 115lbs, Nirra is pretty close to average in both the height and weight departments, but that's about where the whole "average" thing ends. Dark brown eyed, with brown hair that is dark enough to appear black in all but the brightest lights, this hair is strikingly long - reaching to below her waist when loose - and well... fluffy. As a child Nirra would have done anything to have smooth sleek hair like her mother's side of the family, but she's grown to accept what she's got and well, truly owns the style these days - often even adding to the volume at times.
Fairer skinned then most would expect for someone with such dark hair and eyes, this obvious contrast is one of the first things people will notice about this young lady, but in the same glance people would be hard pressed to miss Nirra's dress style. Blacks and whites make up the majority of her wardrobe, as bright and contrasting as she can get them. She occasionally makes exceptions for bright red coloured items too, but for the most part its just black and white - the more form fitting the better. Nirra wears trousers when she must - and when she must is usually only when she knows she'll be riding - the rest of time it's skirts all the way, preferably ones shorter then the generally accepted 'normal'. Before being searched she was more conservative, she had no choice, but since arrival at the Weyr she's just got more and more daring as it were.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Given one word to describe Nirra, and the word most people would choose would be bold. As if her clothing and hair styles didn't explain that well enough, Nirra is equally bold in regards to her total lack of fear, she'll do pretty much anything without worrying about the consequences - from riding a runner that has thrown her a hundred times before, through to staring down an angry gold dragon... well, she perhaps wouldn't do that latter one, but only because she values her place in the Weyr too much to actually risk putting her home there at risk, not fear of the Gold Dragon herself. On a related note, Nirra is renown for being fairly blunt with her tongue - she doesn't set out to hurt peoples feelings exactly, but sometimes she does it without realising or intending to, just because she doesn't feel the need to beat around the bush and 'sugar coat' the things she says - the exception to this, once again, being in instances when she's talking to people who could have her kicked out of the Weyr... for them she'll take a little extra time to consider the effect of her words... but still not all that much though... it was a habit she developed when dealing with her father (he could have thrown her out, and did threaten to once or twice over the turns).
History of Persona:
Nirra's life before the Weyr was fairly mundane, her parents lived in a small cothold beholden to Amethyst Cliff Hold, focusing primarily on breeding and raising runners for long distance traveling - although her father liked to breed the odd racer as a side project when finances allowed - and while Nirra was raised to eventually be the 'proper little holders wife' she was far happier helping out around the stables whenever she could (which was reasonably often, as long as she did all her 'proper little holders wife' jobs first to appease her mother).
She was fourteen when she was searched, and accepted the honour in a heartbeat, jumping at the chance to escape at a life she was sure would bore the life out of her. Her father perhaps wasn't the happiest, but what could he do, he considered it an honour and had no wish to insult the dragonriders by refusing. Since then Nirra's stood at each and every hatching at the Weyr - and while, yes, she usually comes out of them a little sad she didn't Impress, for the most part the sadness is gone by the morning. She early on got permitted to help out in the Weyr stables, and she's far happier doing that then she would have been at home - so what that she hasn't impressed... either she will eventually, or she won't... either way she's happy at the Weyr.
