Physical Description of Persona:
Ask someone to picture Halli and they'll think of a wide grin first of all. She has short, curly reddish-brown hair, dark skin and eyes, and is just short enough to complain about her lack of height.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Bright, confident and adventurous, Halli seems to be continually talking about anything that crosses her mind. She is equally comfortable in large groups and befriending new people. An eternal optimist, Halli believed that even if she was unsuccessful as a Candidate she'd find a way to be happy somehow.

History of Persona:
Halliana was born in a prosperous medium-sized hold, the third and youngest child of the headwoman and her husband, the younger brother of the Holder. During the first years of their marriage her parents had been very close, but soon after Halli's birth they began to drift apart, her father being rather feckless and lazy and her mother strong and hardworking. Halli and her older brothers had a happy childhood nevertheless and with her mother's example Halli came to believe that she could have some other purpose in life than to bear children. She grew up headstrong and determined, but inherited a sense of fun from her father and was never as driven to succeed as her mother had been.

Her parents had promised her that she would never have to marry anyone she didn't want to to the disgust of her grandmother, the widow of the previous holder who wanted her only granddaughter to behave like a lady rather than running wild with her brothers and showing no sign of proper reserve. At age sixteen most of Halli's relations and friends were trying to persuade her to settle down when a Searchdragon arrived at her home hold and chose her and another boy, Revdek. The Hold had always respected dragonkind and agreed to the Search, although they were surprised that a girl should have been chosen. For Halli, however, being Searched was the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime, only topped by her Impression of Jaquiath at her first ever Hatching.
